Stock market ends year on quiet note

Accra, Dec. 29, GNA - The Accra bourse on Friday ended trading for the year on a quiet note with only one equity making a move. The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, was better by a mere 0.03 points on the strength of one cedi rise by ECOBANK Ghana at 13,519 cedis.

The index ended at 5,006.02 points from 5,005.99 points on Thursday while change for the year remained unchanged at 4.97 per cent. Traded shares ended at 111,900 shares from 23,900 shares while market capitalization ended at 112,496.01 billion cedis from 112,415.84 billion cedis.
