Stock market in slow march to end of the year

Accra, Dec. 28, GNA - The Accra bourse continued its slow march to the end of the year as the penultimate trading day ended with the main stock index barely rising. The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, was better by a mere 0.02 points on the strength of one cedi rise by ECOBANK Ghana at 13,518 cedis.

The index ended at 5,005.99 points from 5,005.97 points on Wednesday while change for the year remained unchanged at 4.97 per cent. Traded shares ended at only 23,900 shares from Wednesday's 163,200 and market capitalization ended better at 112,415.84 billion cedis from Wednesday's close of 112,415.68 billion cedis.
