The committee, which has Nii Armah Ashietey, the Municipal Chief Executive as chairman, has representatives from DISEC, the Council of Churches, Muslim Council, Ghana Red Cross Society, National Mobilisation Programme, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Tema Development Corporation and the Disaster Management Committee. Mr Emmanuel Ofoe, Co-ordinating Director of the Tema Municipal Assembly who disclosed this to the press, said the committee will monitor the flood situation in the municipality and make recommendations to a flood technical committee that has been constituted by the Ministry of Works and Housing.
