Agbozume Police uncover suspected murder

Agbozume, (V/R), Nov. 21, GNA-The Agbozume Police have uncovered the bodies of two suspected ritual murder victims in a shallow grave at Task Corner, a suburb of Agbozume following a tip-off. The two bodies, which were yet to be identified, were without their legs, heads, feet and hearts.

The Police and local people suspected that the murder might have taken place about three days ago. No arrests were made.

The spectacle had attracted a large crowd of people to the area when the Ghana News Agency and the Police team from Agbozume and the Keta Divisional command got there on Tuesday, to pick the bodies, which were in a state of decomposition.

A source close to the Agbozume Police told the GNA that the Police had a tip-off on Monday evening about a suspected fresh grave at an unusual spot in the bush near Task Corner.

The source said Police arrived the same evening and identified the grave with bloodstains around but without any sign of a struggle. The bodies have since been sent to the Keta hospital morgue while Police investigations continue.
