"Just A Little Longer"- A Book By Christy A. Collins

Christy Collins is a Ghanaian author who lives in Virginia, USA and is also a co-host of a TV show called; The African Lifestyle on PAX TV which was featured on Ghanaweb recently. Christy has also a written a book entitled; "Just A Little Longer" (fiction), Paperback, 200 pages and it was published by Authorhouse.com.

She has interviewed celebrities like Freddy Adu of DC United, Dick Gregory, movie stars like Jim Iyke, and musicians like Meiway, Djams, Kojo Antwi, and Makoma.

About the Book

Ekow, a young and handsome man falls in love with the beautiful Jewel. When his best friend, Jojo and Jewel betray his trust, Ekow falls into a deep despair. So broken hearted it almost kills him! Akos, is a beautiful, young and pious nurse at the hospital where Ekow is admitted. She takes it upon herself to save this distraught young man. Despite his belief that he has only a short time to live, Ekow vows to marry the lovely young nurse.

Ekow travels to the US in pursuit of the American dream. Staying with Akos's long time friend, Bibi, brings more trouble. She is young, lustful and finds Ekow irresistible. She will stop at nothing to have him all to herself! Struggling to stay true to Akos proves even more difficult when Ekow suddenly meets his first love, Jewel. Will Ekow be able to keep his vow to Akos? Does he have the strength to fend off Bibi? Will he and Akos ever be together again?

About the Author

Actress, writer, director, producer. Born in Cape Coast, Ghana/West Africa, Christina is the daughter of William and Veronica Agyarko. She attended the University of Cape Coast where she founded the drama group, C Theater. She wrote and directed plays like I Married My Mother, The Angels, Who Is to Blame, etc. She is also a co-author of a pictorial book for the American Red Cross Transplantation Services.

After university, Christina became the head of the Women's Commission of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS). She got married to William Collins and the couple migrated to London. In 1994, she gave birth to a baby girl and named her Breege. The family migrated to America in May 1996.
