Accra Bourse inches up in quiet trading

Accra, Aug. 16, GNA - The main index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) inched up in another quiet trading that saw marginal gains by three equities.

The GSE All Share Index, the main stock index, went up by 0.11 points at 4,876.52 points from Tuesday's 4,876.41 points. Change for the year remained flat at 2.25 per cent. There were three price changes, all gains.

Enterprise Insurance was five cedis better at 8,295 cedis, while ECOBANK and Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited gained one cedi each at 11,792 cedis and 9,231 cedis, respectively.

Total shares traded slumped to 62,900 from 3,750,500 cedis while Market Capitalisation was 97,386.72 billion cedis from 97,386.27 billion cedis.
