GSE All-Share slumps on Guinness Breweries loss

Accra, Aug. 4, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the main market indicator, slumped on the last day of the week trading on a huge loss by Guinness Ghana Breweries (GGBL).

The Index lost 15.72 points at 4,872.17 points from 4,887.89 points on Thursday.

Change for the year to date was worse at 2.16 per cent. There were four price changes, one up and three down.

Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited lost 285 cedis at 9,215 cedis; SG-SSB Bank lost two cedis at 6,748 cedis and Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) also lost one cedi at 6,309. The sole gainer was Enterprise Insurance Company (EIC), which gained one cedi at 6,136 cedis. Total shares traded ended at 795,300 shares.

Market capitalisation was down at 97,183.76 billion cedis.
