Seven Germans in car crash at Agona Swedru

Agona Swedru (C/R), July 27, GNA - Seven German Nationals on Monday sustained various degrees of injuries when the 207 Benz Bus, on which they were travelling, collided with a Nissan Pick-up at the outskirts of Agona Swedru.

One of the Germans, Annika Schulte, whose condition is critical, was flown to 37 Military Hospital in Accra for further treatment, while the other six were treated and discharged at the Agona Swedru Government Hospital.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mr. F. K. Guh, Swedru Divisional Motor Traffic Transport Unit Commander (MTTU), told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the two drivers were also treated and discharged at the same hospital.

He said the Germans were in the country to participate in the tenth Anniversary celebrations of the Agricultural Rural and Development Association, a German non-government organization involved in socio-development programmes in Ghana.
