DCE appeals to Ghanaians to fast and pray for the Black Stars

Tepa, June 26, GNA - Nana Eric Agyemang Prempeh, the Ahafo-Ano North District Chief Executive, has called on all Ghanaians especially Christians and Muslims to pray and fast for Ghana's Black Stars in their crucial World cup match against Brazil on Tuesday.

He said as the country would be 50 years as a nation next year, a victory by the Black Stars on Tuesday and in subsequent matches would go a long way to add colour to the golden jubilee celebration. Nana Agyemang Prempeh made the call when he visited a number of churches to worship with them at Tepa on Sunday.

Nana Adusei Atwenewaah Ampem I, Omanhene of Tepa Traditional area, accompanied the DCE.

He said the Black Stars were leading the country to reinforce the history of the nation as a lone star of Africa, south of the Sahara and stressed the need for special prayers and fasting to carry them through. 26 June 06
