ARB Apex launches new product for rural banks

Kasoa (C/R), June 8, GNA - The ARB Apex Bank has entered into an agreement with some foreign companies to channel remittances from Ghanaians living abroad through it to the rural banks for their beneficiaries.

The new product would enhance rural banks and improve their services and to enhance their financial position. Mr Emmanuel K. Kwapong, Managing Director of the ARB Apex Bank, said this in speech read on his behalf at the second Annual General Meeting of Odupong Kpehe Rural Bank at Kasoa.

He said the facility would be in collaboration with some financial institutions.

Mr Kwapong urged the people to patronize the "Home Cash" account, which could be accessed even on weekends.

The Managing Director stated that the Apex bank had embarked on series of training programmes for the staff and directors of the rural banks to improve their performance.
