Hearts of Oak gaffer, Frank Nuttall, has insisted that his side never underrated Bolga All Stars in their 3-3 draw game at Tamale Utrecht Park on Wednesday.

The Phobians started the game brightly as they scored first under one minute through Vincent Atingah, they pushed forward for the second goal but they fluffed their lines.

All Stars restored parity in the 24th minute courtesy Alhassan Ibrahim’s powerful header, the Phobians restored their lead through Thomas Abbey in the 31st minute.

In the second half, the Phobians shot themselves in the foot as Bolga All Stars took control of the game, and Ibrahim Giyasu pulled even for the home side in the 54th minute, three minutes later the new Premier League boys scored their third goal through Alhassan Ibrahim.

Hearts of Oak regrouped and mounted series of pressure and they had the needed equalizer via second half substitute Alex Kouassi.

“We didn’t underrate Bolga All Stars, we scored in the first 30 seconds and we really pushed and we feel we should have had a penalty and if it was given it would have been 2-0, so we were pushing,” he said after the game.

“When it was 1 each, we pushed for 2-1 and we got motivated and it was 2 each and 3-2, and we came to 3-3. And at the end of the game we came close in getting the winner, so i don’t think someone can say we underrate them, we didn’t.”
