Wa All Stars make changes to technical team

League leaders Wa All Stars have announced some changes to their technical team just one match into the season.

The Wa-based Premier league side recalled Abubakari Sokpari for the assistant trainer’s slot after the departure of Charles Boateng ‘Mboma’ at the end of last season.

The Northern Blues, as they are passionately known also confirmed Baba Alhasssan ‘Hard one’ as the second assistant manager for the season after the former goalie filled in for Charles Boateng at the latter stages of last season.

General Manager of the Wa-based side Seth Panwum broke the news to sportscrusader after a brief meeting with the playing body.

“I can confirm the appointment of Abubakari Sokpari as one of our assistant coaches alongside Alhassan Baba.”

The club recalled him to help develop the club move forward both in Ghana and beyond.

Aside Abubakar Sokpari’s appointment, Yunnus Alhassan maintained his place in the team as the masseur, Najahu Issah as the goalkeepers trainer and Ismail Hashim as the equipment officer.” Seth told sports crusader exclusively.

Abubakar Sokpari worked as an assistant manager for the club under Jimmy Corbblah before leaving the club before the commencement of last season.

The former Upper West Heroes forward is revered in the region for his unique understanding of the global leather.

The Wa based side qualified to the premiership in 2007 and has since won 89 of the 241 league fixtures honoured.
