Medeama coach Tom Strand was left impressed with his side's attitude to training despite the tough weather conditions in Sudan ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup tie against Al Shendi.

The players trained under a humid weather at the Khartoum SC training ground without showing any signs of difficulty.

They looked athletic and displayed a lot of stamina to signal massive hope for the Ghanaians ahead of the crucial first leg tie on Sunday.

And Swedish coach Tom Strand hailed the players positive mentality.

"We try to push the players a little bit so they could feel it's to play in a high working rate in this environment," he said

"But I think it went well and I hope that it's a good strategy for Sunday's game

"We have to make some players ready for the match and try to make their bodies adjust to the climate.

"We have a couple of days to the match so we had the chance to push them a little bit.

"We are trying to give a good performance here. We have to adopt to the situation and the match.

"We'll see the opponent and then see how we can push it. Now we're going to work more on the strategy and their physical conditioning."

Medeama will continue with their preparations on Friday before traveling to Shendi on Saturday ahead of Sunday's game.
