There won't be another John at the presidency - Pastor

The wish of President John Dramani Mahama to win the 2016 elections may just be a dream that may never come to pass, as a man of God has revealed that, Ghana will not have another John at the Presidency.

Founder and leader of the Hezekiah Apostolic Prayer Ministry, Pastor Kwabena Owusu Adjei speaking in an interview with Kwame Tutu on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM said the era of the Mahama-led administration is over.

The pastor in an interview some months ago said, the candidate of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo, was also not destined to be president and advised him to step aside.

"I see; I see; I see; I have repeated this three times; I see the possibility of the flagbearership race in the NPP being opened again. I repeat it again; I see the possibility of the NPP flagbearership race being opened again before we go into the November polls."

Asked whether he was not contradicting an earlier prophecy that Nana Addo will never be president of Ghana, the man of God noted, "if indeed Nana Addo is marked to be president, there will be signs that will lead to that prophecy but going by what I saw, the NPP's victory will be led by another presidential candidate. He called on the NPP not take his prophecy for granted but adopt measures and pray hard to fulfil God's prophecy," this was his interview he had with Kwame Tutu some few months ago.

However, speaking in an interview today, the pastor drew a spiritual correlation between the murder of J.B Danquah Adu at dawn on Tuesday, February 9 at his home at Shiashie in Accra.

According to him, it could be possible that the late MP died for Nana Addo to be president. He said, just like the late JB Danquah died for Nkrumah's government to be overthrown, in the same way, President Mahama is going to lose the elections.

He added, there was an "arrow of death on Nana Addo" but that arrow was taken from him after the leader had prayed unceasingly. "And that arrow of death fell on the late MP to save the leader and candidate of the party."

Pastor Kwabena Adjei indicated that the late JB Danquah before his death made a call for a befitting funeral for his late grandfather on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the death of Dr J.B Danquah when parliament paid tribute to him for his immense contribution to Ghana's independence and the sustenance of democracy in the country; however, he instructed the family not to do so.

"If the leader had prayed for God to have mercy on him, who am I to question God on that?...I think it is as it is. If Nana Addo had prayer for the arrow of death to be taken away from him and transferred to the late MP; What must happen must happen."

He added that "the one who will win the elections is not going to be called a John. I can tell you, there is not going to be another John."
