The Chief Executive Officer of the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), Charles Akelyira Abugre, has lamented the seemingly damaged reputation of the Authority.

According to him, that currently poses the biggest challenge for the Authority.

SADA has been oft-cited as one of the agencies introduced by the National Democratic Congress’ government but breeding corruption.

It seems to have recently been running on low ebb.

But speaking to TV3’s Eva Atiboka, Mr Abugre said the biggest challenge of the Authority is not about resources but “that the institution has attracted so much skepticism and a bad image.”

He indicated that the current lull in activities “gives us time to research strategically about what type of role actually make the biggest difference”.

He has, therefore, assured of innovative ways in the near future to make the Authority attractive again.

“Some small money leverages bigger impact than large monies and therefore it has forced us to think about big change with relatively small money.”
