Footy-ghana.com has gathered that former Premier League champions Berekum Chelsea owes the Ghana Football Association over $220,000 in transfer percentages due the Association.
According to our sources, the money represents percentages of transfer fees realized from the sale of players like Emmanuel Osei Banahene, Gladson Awako, Emmanuel Clottey, Richard Kissi Boateng, Solomon Asante, Ernest Sowah and Obed Owusu amongst others.
Footy-ghana.com has also learnt that the club’s Chief Executive, Obed Nana Kwame Nketiah, is in debt to the tune of over $30,000 from loans he contracted to keep the club afloat.
The club has been tethering on the edge since the departure of club owner Emmanuel Kyeremeh from the country 18 months ago, with the current situation resulting in the resignations of Operations Manager, Nana Oduro Sarfo and head coach Tony Lokko.
