Aduana Stars Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Albert Commey says the standard of play in the just ended FirsTrust G6 Tournament will be replicated in the upcoming league.

The tournament which involveD six Premier League clubs, namely, Ashanti Gold, Asante Kotoko, Aduana Stars, Hearts of Oak, Berekum Chelsea and Medeama saw the brilliant play from the clubs as Black Stars deputy coach Maxwell Konadu was spotted in the stands monitoring talents for a possible call-up.

And the CEO of the Dormaa-based club has expressed high hopes saying the quality of football displayed by the clubs in the just ended off-season competition will be replicated in the upcoming Ghana Premier League.

“In terms of the standard of play, I must admit I was very shocked because you can’t underrate any of the six teams that played in the tournament. They were very good and I can say it is a replica of what will happen in the league when it starts,” he told Happy FM.

“If someone says the matches were easy then it means that person wasn’t there and if you were present at the stadium and watching the kind of quality of football being displayed by the clubs you will attest that the standard was very high.

The kind of tactics the coaches displayed showed strength in defense, midfield and attack by each team and it was very good,” he added.

Asante Kotoko were crowned champions after beating Aduana Stars 1-0 in the final.
