Drama unfolded at the 30th Anniversary celebrations of the Holy Ghost Revival Centre, Assemblies of God Church in Accra when Rev. Owusu Bempah tried to extend greetings to former President John Dramani Mahama, who was the special guest of honour.

In what appeared to be an 'overly exaggerated' reaction by an aide of the former president; the two eventually were seen shaking hands when Rev. Owusu Bempah decided to take his leave.

The sight of the earlier hostility almost marred the church's anniversary celebrations on Sunday, December 1.

Rev. Owusu Bempah was invited as a guest of the host pastor of the Assemblies of God, Holy Ghost Revival Centre, Rev. Frank Asare Boadu, who are both neighbouring pastors of their respective churches in South Odorkor.

Over a period, Rev. Owusu Bempah has been known to utter unpleasant words on radio and television platforms against the former President John Mahama.

President Akufo-Addo, however, is a known favourite of the founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, and is said to be a congregant of the church on some occasions.
