Olympiakos want to sign Jordan Ayew before Wednesday deadline

Greek outfit Olympiakos have made an approach to sign Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew; Sport24 has reported.

Ayew’s future continues to be speculated despite new Villa owner Tony Xia insistent that the Ghana international will not be sold.

Olympiakos have missed out on main target Trabzonspor’s Oscar Cardozo and want Ayew to replace him.

The 24-year-old joined Villa last season from Lorient and emerged the club’s top scorer with seven goals in 30 Premier League appearances.

But Villa got relegated and are now playing in the Championship.
