Nwabiagya Rural Bank Limited at Barekese in the Nwabiagya district of Ashanti Region has been awarded the Gold award in the International Star for Leadership in Quality and Excellence Awards at the Espace Palais des Congre Hall in Paris.

The bank was recognized with this prestigious international award for its commitment to Quality, Leadership, Technology and Innovation.

The 2015 International Quality Awards were put together by the BID Group on October 25, 2015, with presentations to companies and organisations drawn from 49 countries around the world for achievements in Quality and Excellence along with outstanding personalities from the business world and diplomatic corps.

The President of BID Group, Jose E. Prieto who made the presentation, remarked that the Nwabiagya Rural Bank has made quality a core focus for continuous improvement of management to maintain leadership in its sector and community.

According to him recipients of the awards are icons of commitment to leadership, technology and innovation, making them models for others in their sectors.

The purpose of the 2015 ISLQ Awards is to recognise the commitment to quality of 49 companies awarded in the top areas of business, services and industry.

Mr. Samuel Nuamah Dankwah, General Manager of Nwabiagya Rural Bank Limited, shared with the gathering of international leaders the company's achievements to date as well as its future ambitions and goals.

Despite the difficult current global economic climate, the bank strives to excel in quality each day -- thus creating a competitive advantage in its industry. For this reason, the bank won the 2015 BID International Star for Leadership in Quality Award in Paris.

Mr. Nuamah Dankwah and the Board Chairman, Dr. Nana Owusu Sarfo Anwona II who received the award on behalf of the bank, have on behalf of the Board of Directors dedicated it to shareholders and customers of the bank.

“Had it not been for the loyalty of our customers and the commitment of shareholders, we would not be where we are now,” Mr. Nuamah Dankwah added emphatically.

According to him, this international recognition means a lot more work to be done; and he and his management team will not rest on their oars but maintain or improve upon the quality of operations, which he believes will enhance the bank’s corporate image.

Paris hosted this year's BID International Star for Leadership in Quality Convention, where professionals and business leaders from around the world gathered to recognise excellence and success. In particular, the convention celebrated quality in business and operations. Award-winners demonstrated commitment to criteria of the QC100 TQM Model, which helped to boost customer-satisfaction and cost-efficiency across all areas of operation.
