No party can outperform the NDC in Ghana - Nketia

General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has declared his party as the best organised political party ever since the adoption of the 1992 Constitution.

According to him, even though the NDC is not a perfect political party, it is an undeniable fact that the party has emerged as the most well behaved, coming from the background of revolution to practice democracy as compared to the other political parties.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show to commemorate the 24th anniversary celebration of the ruling NDC, General Mosquito as affectionately called, maintained that NDC has survived against all odds as people thought it was a third force aside CPP and UP; thus, there was a belief that NDC will last long due to its background from revolution.

“We are proud that a party which people thought will collapse has become the largest political party in Ghana, and when you look at the best-organised party, I don’t think there is any party in Ghana which will outperform our party,” he stated.

He further averred that the NDC is the party which has won many elections in the country than any other party; emphasising that the party has gone far as it remains the first party in power to have organised incident-free election since the practice of democracy and handed over power to the opposition after conceding defeat.

The NDC Chief Scribe, however, hinted that his party is going to establish an institution to train its members and people who desire to join the party to follow the footsteps of the NDC as this will help the politics being practised in the country.
