Mahama, Obama speak at UN Summit today

President John Mahama, US President Barack Obama and French President Francois Hollande will take their turn to make statements at the Closing Plenary of the UN Sustainable Development Summit today in New York.

The Summit, which opened on Friday, adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, comprising of 17 Goals.

Today's closing plenary session will commence at 5.00pm (Ghana Time) and will be available by webcast at http://webtv.un.org, an official statement from the Flagstaff House said.

President Mahama's presentation at approximately 5.30pm will be live on Ghana Television, Radio Ghana and at www.presidency.gov.gh.

Speaking at a dialogue session as part of the Summit on Saturday, President Mahama identified Goals 2 and 7 as critical to the Africa continent's economic growth and Transformation.
