'Liberty Professionals will surprise everyone this season'

George Afriyie George Afriyie

Vice President of the Ghana Football Association George Afriyie insists his club Liberty Professionals has what it takes to win the Ghana Premier League this season.

The Dansoman based club was completely beaten by Bechem United in the opening day of the season though the game was an away game for Liberty Professionals.

The Scientific soccer lads responded in grand style with a 2-1 victory over Inter Allies football club in the match day two.

Skipper of the club Samuel Sarfo echoed a strong conviction that his side had what it took to lift the trophy after the victory over Inter Allies last weekend.

And George Afriyie who admits this season will be reverting is not ruling out a title triumph for his club.

“There are a lot of teams but per the first game it’s difficult to tell,” Afriyie said

“We all expected Kotoko but Hearts of Oak have shown under Kenichi that they are a strong side and off course Liberty with Latif Blessing can also win it.”
