Presiding Bishop of Jesus Generation Ministries and also an Executive Member of Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, Rt. Rev. Dr Anyani-Boadum has admonished Ghanaians to accept migrants into the country.

In an exclusive interview with Kasapa FM, he emphasized the need for Ghanaians to help others in need not only based on their religious belief but out of genuine love.

Rt. Rev. Dr Anyani-Boadum noted that the distinguishing mark of human life is its humanness.

“The need to be humane compels me, a Christian, to rush to the aid of a Muslim requiring urgent assistance. At that point, I see a human being and not his or her religion. This is the way we should live together if we want to build a cohesive society.”

He called on Ghanaians to pray for migrants because they find themselves in difficult situations adding that rejecting migrants is a form of injustice to humanity, and it beholds on all to accept such persons in distress.

Rt .Rev.Dr Anyani-Boadum further implored Ghanaians to show compassion to migrants in order to be an example for other countries with weak governance and institutions.

He further urged Ghanaians not to discriminate against the Guantanamo Bay ex-detainees based on their religion because Christians and Muslims have over the years lived peacefully in the country.
