Jordan scored more in 2015

Jordan Ayew’s goal in the 2-0 win over Comoros in the 2018 World Cup qualifier saw him emerge the highest scorer for Ghana in the year 2015.

The 23-year-old struck late on with a composed finish to give the Black Stars a deserved 2-0 win over Comoros on Tuesday in Kumasi.

It takes the international goal tally of the year for the Aston Villa man to four – one better than his elder brother Andre – to finish as the highest scorer of the Black Stars over the period.

Ghana will play no match for the remainder of the year until March next year when the qualifier for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations resume.

Jordan’s four-goal tally of the year came in games against Equatorial Guinea (where Jordan scored one in the comprehensive 3-0 in the semi-finals of the 2015 AFCON), against Congo (an international friendly which Ghana won 3-2) and against Mauritius (where Jordan scored a brace in the 7-1 mauling in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers).
