WAFA SC captain Martin Antwi is very optimistic club can still achieve their aim of winning the Ghana Premier League without departed head coach John Killa.

The Dutchman left the Academy side last month after six years in charge.

He has been appointed youth team coach of Indian side Bengaluru FC.

"John Killa did a great job before he left us, so we are just continuing. I don’t think his absence will affect the team," Antwi was quoted by Footballmadeinghana

"We are preparing well for the second round, and our assistant coach is equally good so there will not be any problem.

"We can achieve our target which is finishing among the top teams."

WAFA SC finished seventh on the league table in the first round.

They host reigning champions Ashanti Gold SC at the Sogakope Park on Sunday.
