The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Kwadaso Constituency, Dr. Kojo Nuamah has promised to recycle waste to generate gas for the constituency should he win the parliamentary elections in December.

He promises to bring his expertise on energy to bear in collecting and recycling waste into energy.

Speaking to Ultimate News in an exclusive interview, Dr. Nuamah acknowledged the difficulty that exists in waste collection and management in the Kwadaso constituency.

He believes this will help end erratic power supply to hundreds of homes and further prevent effects of insanitary environmental conditions.

‘First of all waste is a big issue in the constituency, waste scattered everywhere, w hat we are trying to do is to allocate bins for every household and at the end of every week or month collected and a token paid, that will ensure that our streets are kept cleaner, to mitigate malaria, cholera and other diseases, because of my background as an energy expert, we are looking at how best we can use this waste to generate some source of fuel, energy like biogas into some sort of generator giving us power, if that power generated can solve hundred households at all times, then yes people can enjoy, the benefit of waste,’ he assured.
