Hearts are expected to sack all their newly signed recruits in an 'EXPLOSIVE' shake-up set to hit the club in the coming days.

Majority shareholder Togbe Afede wants to take steps to redeem the sinking image of the club by taking bold decisions which are expected to hit the playing body, technical team and management.

Media reports have emerged on Monday that the nine newly signed players will be shown the exit for their lack of quality.

Patrick Razak Omotoyossi, Cosmos Dauda, Benjamin Doe Atiso, Prince Boadu, Daniel Boateng and Ibrahim Musah, who joined from lower-tier sides, are set to be sacked for their low quality.

Other perceived established players including Mustapha Essuman and Justine Anane will also be booted out for lacking the quality to play for the former African champions.

Hearts suffered an embarrassing 5-0 aggregate defeat against Libyan side Al Ahli Tripoli in an international friendly last week.

The defeat sparked fears the club could be in for a disastrous campaign this term, prompting the club owner to make drastic changes to the squad.

The club has formed a strategic committee, tasked to aid the running of the club and restore the past glory.

The capital-based side have been kept in the cooler for the past seven years after playing catch-ups to arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.
