Hearts, Kotoko avoid each other in GHALCA G6 draw

Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have avoided each other in the preliminary stage of the inaugural GHALCA G6 Invitational tournament following the competition’s draw conducted on Thursday in Sekondi.

Hearts of Oak were drawn in Group A where they will face MTN FA Cup champions Medeama and Aduana Stars while Kotoko, drawn in Group B, will come up against Premier League champions AshGold and Berekum Chelsea.

The seven-day tournament which is expected to kick off on January 3, 2016, will see one of the clubs in the group draw...while the two others slug it out.

Winners of the respective groups will then play in the finals of the tournament on January 10.

The draw held in Sekondi Takoradi also saw organizers GHALCA unveil the jerseys to be used by clubs in its maiden edition of the G6 tournament which has First Trust Savings and Loans as its headline sponsors.
