Green Book commercials will cost NDC GHC100m quarterly

An Economist, Kusi Boafo, has said the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) is likely to spend GHC100 million on its ‘Green Book’ commercials.

Per his calculation, if the ‘Green Book’ adverts which talk about the achievement of President John Dramani Mahama is run in the print and aired across the electronic media outlets (Television, Radio and Online), such amount is a possibility.

Mr. Boafo who is a Lecturer at Kumasi Polytechnic told Accra-based Okay FM in an interview, Thursday, that if the commercials are rolled in the electronic media alone, the NDC is likely to spend GHC60 million every quarter.

Such spending, he argued, has the potential of hurting the economy, noting the early campaign strategy adopted by the governing party will not be in the interest of the country.
