Frimpong unhappy with lack of fighting spirit from Arsenal

Arsenal and Tottenham have gone head-to-head in the Premier League this afternoon in perhaps the biggest North London derby in history.

It was a fantastic spectacle for the fans including those watching at home.

Including a certain former Arsenal player Emmanuel Frimpong.

The Ghanaian midfielder came through the ranks at Arsenal before heading out of the club in 2014 to join Barnsley.

Nowadays he plays his football in Russia for FC Ufa but remains a big follower of Arsenal.

He can also be unflinching in his criticism of the club - even if he does have a past with The Gunners.

Today's game was no different. Throughout the game he criticised the lack of fighting spirit from the Arsenal players as they gave away two goals so soon after seeing Francis Coquelin getting sent off.

But he was also left frustrated after Eric Dier escaped a second yellow for a clear pull back on Olivier Giroud.

Alexis Sanchez saved a point for Arsenal and they remain in the title hunt.

Frimpong will be pleased.
