A mammoth durbar was held in his honour as the Chiefs and people of the Bibiani Anwiaso Bekwai Municipality in the Western Region commended the former BOST CEO, Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng for his unprecedented gestures towards the people within the area.

These were made known on Friday, November 9, 2018, when the former CEO, Mr. Alfred Obeng presented a 100KVN Generator plant worth of Ghc170,000 to the Bibiani Municipal Hospital which was a long urgent need to help curb unnecessary and avoidable death anytime power outages occur in the middle of an operation.

According to them, Alfred Obeng’s character is worth emulating by all and sundry.

Expressing delight at the presentation of such a humongous asset and also as a big relief, Administrator of the Bibiani Government Hospital, Dr. Paul Agyarko disclosed that the hospital had faced power challenges over the 23 years and he therefore praised honourable Alfred Obeng for his presentation but called on other philanthropists for more.

Mawerehene of the Bibiani Anwiaso Traditional Council and Chief of Subiri-Nkwanta, Nana Kofi Afii II also praised honourable Alfred Obeng for his kind gesture and urged the rest to desist from doing everything with politics.

The man whose philanthropic works merited the grand durbar explained the reason for such a presentation and promised to do more in the future.

"That's a biblical rule I learnt from childhood and it's the secret behind my success", he revealed.

He further urged others who are blessed to do same and not keep it for themselves alone but rather let it benefit others.

Some women who had suffered bitterly during their delivery due to the long absence of a plant at the hospital also expressed their gratitude to Mr. Alfred Oteng.
