Ghanaian international Edwin Gyimah marked his competitive debut for Black Leopards last Friday when they drew 2-2 with SuperSport United in the Absa Premiership.

The player recently secured a transfer to the PSL side after impressing the technical handlers at the end of trials.

Weeks after joining the team, Gyimah was handed his maiden start when Black Leopards traveled to the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on match week 9.

Aubrey Modiba opened the scoring for SuperSport United after 33 minutes of action following a good run of play. Chris Katjiuka later headed home a corner kick on the 44th minute to draw level for Black Leopards.

The two sides resumed the break with an improved performance as they searched for a vital equalizer that would earn them the maximum 3 points.

Thamsanqa Gabuza later restored the lead for the home side but a resilient performance from the away side saw them restoring parity for the second time on the 89th minute courtesy a strike from Pentjie Zulu.

Edwin Gyimah who was deployed in a center-back managed to impress on the day and lasted the entire duration of the game.
