Ghana kid Godfred Donsah was adjudged the best performer in Bologna’s 2-0 win over Hellas Verona in the Serie A on Saturday.

He was a pillar in midfield and scored the assurance goal on 14 minutes after Emanuele Giaccherini had opened the scoring.

,b>Here’s how players of Bologna rated:

Antonio Mirante – 7 – Useful

Didn’t get any substantial amount of threats to his goal, but had to do well to deny Hellas a way back into the tie.

Luca Rossettini – 7.5 – Compact

Was defensively quite sound and didn’t back away from making in roads into opposition territory too. The 30 year old made 4 clearances and made 3 blocks too.

Domenico Maeita – 8.0 – Resolute

Arguably was Bologna’s best defensive player on the pitch. Worked hard to clear headers and close spaces out in the final third. Made a total of 15 clearances too.

Adam Masina – 7.5 – Ready

It was a compact and solid performance from the Moroccan. Didn’t allow Sala with any space to work around and work with the ball. Made 5 blocks.

Daniele Gastaldello – 8.0 – Sentinel

It was an assured showing from the Italian who partnered Maeita very well indeed. Looked resolute in his approach and just as solid as his partner. Made 3 important interceptions.

Amadou Diawara – 8.0 – Determined

The young Guinean looked good in both aspects of his- attack and defense. Acquired a passing percentage of 91% and his positioning was decent too.

Godfred Donsah – 8.5 – Difference Maker

The 19 year old put on an impressive performance and a one to be proud of. Took the goal very well and shielded the defense to good effect, much like Diawara himself.

Franco Brienza – 7.0 – Fine

Sometimes gave an impression that he lacked a bit of decisiveness in passing and confidence. He was fine enough defensively but offered little in an attacking sense.

Mattia Destro – 8.0 – Slick

The former Roma star looked a threat whenever he got on the ball and could’ve increased Bologna’s lead in the second half too. The Italian looked dangerous on the counter too.

Luca Rizzo – 7.5 – Committed

Played slightly deeper than Destro and Giaccherini and made more contributions in a defensive sense. The Italian made 4 blocks and completed 4 take ons.

Emanuelle Giaccherini – 8.0 – Younger

An impressive showing from the former Sunderland and Juventus man. Looked threatening on the counter and combined well with Destro up top to good effect. The game could’ve been better if not for failed take ons and crosses.
