Asante Kotoko coach, David Duncan has expressed his worry with his side’s inability to convert the chances into goals despite winning 1-0 to win the bragging right over AshGold in the Ashanti derby.

The Porcupine Warriors on match day 24 of the ongoing First Capital Plus Bank Premier League were put to the sword by the league leaders AshGold but they managed to grind out the needed results by winning the game 1-0 thanks to Frank Sarfo Gyamfi’s 25th minute header.

Latter part of the game, Asante Kotoko created numerous goal scoring opportunities to put the game beyond the reach of AshGold but Dauda Mohammed and Sarfo Gyamfi fluffed those chance leaving their head coach livid.

And David Duncan after his side’s win over AshGold in a post match interview said: “It didn’t come easy it is the kind of performance that has charactized our play. Matches that we are supposed to win, we throw them away. Last week, it was about Sogakope (against WAFA) and I expressed a similar sentiment.

“My worry is the chances that we are not taking. It is a playback of what I have been talking about.”

Asante Kotoko on match Sunday will battle their arch rivals Hearts of Oak at the Accra sports stadium on match day 25.
