Dalex Finance launches new product

Dalex Finance has launched a new contributory investment scheme dubbed: “Safe Wise Investments for Tomorrow (SWIFT),” which intends to promote financial inclusion in the country.

The flexible, high-earning and convenient micro-investment product is accessed and managed on the mobile phone with the mobile number acting as the investment account number of the customer.

Mr Ken Thompson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dalex Finance, explained that SWIFT contribution could be any amount starting from GH? 1.00 and could be made through more than 20,000 points, including mobile money agents, post offices and bank branches, in addition to the unlimited convenience of mobile phones.

“SWIFT invests the contributions made in any 30-day period and will pay a competitive compound interest from month to month until the maturity of the investment,” he said.

He said as a financial company which is being rated as the number 16 on the Ghana Club 100, Dalex Finance would provide maximum security to the investments, saying the contribution’s investment is with a large well established financial institutions regulated by the Bank of Ghana.

Mrs Edith Dankwa, CEO of Business and Financial Times, described SWIFT as very innovative which would promote savings culture among the people, especially women.

She urged all to sign up to the new product and enjoy big returns to their investments.

Dr Kwesi Botchwey, Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission, in his keynote address, said evidence had shown that improving financial inclusion significantly reduce poverty.

He said there is a consistent link between financial sector development and economic growth and commended the management of Dalex Finance for the SWIFT product, which intends to promote financial inclusion.

He said even though the mobile money market is expanding, there is the need to address issues such as agents and customer related fraud and system security among others.

He expressed the hope that Dalex SWIFT would help bring development to the doorsteps of the poor and promote the culture of savings.

Nana Oye Lithur, Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, urged women to invest with Dalex SWIFT and enjoy massive investment returns including a loan to expand their businesses.
