Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North, Kojo Baah Agyeman has lashed out at Government for failing to implement the recommendations of the Commission of Enquiry on the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

“The Commission Enquiry was a waste of time, resources, energy and emotions such that the recommendations were not implemented.”

Speaking with Tony Adam Adjei, host of kasapa FM’s ‘Dwedwam’ show, the Hon. Baah, who is a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Youth and Sports, indicated that government’s best way to kerb the unfortunate and shameful incidents in Brazil was to allow the Parliamentary Committee on Sports to look into the happening and outline suggestions to avert a reoccurrence.

He further quizzed “If was not comic relief or satire episode that Ghanaians wasted time watching during the committee hearing when many expected that certain key elements might change in the football fraternity, but the status quo remained.”

According to the MP, President Mahama’s inauguration of the Commission of Enquiry was a populist action which scored him cheap political points.
