Bankroller of Bolga All Stars Abdulai Alhassan is optimistic his new side will survive the drop at the end of the season despite their poor start in the campaign.
The Tamale-based Premier League club was nearly taken over by Techiman-based Nana Ameyaw due to its poor financial status but Abdulai Alhassan who doubles as the FA Chairman of the Northern Region ended up taking over the side.
Following his takeover, the dispirited side displayed a wonderful performance against giants Asante Kotoko by staging a comeback to earn a point in the game.
And the new owner believes that motivating the players can see his side avoiding the slip at the end of the season.
“When you watch the game against Asante Kotoko, there is only one thing that comes into mind – motivation. The players indicated that if they are motivated very well, they can deliver.
“I am not bringing anything special on board. What I want to concentrate greatly on is motivating the players. And I think by doing that, we can survive the drop.
“It’s definitely too early to talk about who wins or goes to relegation at the end of the season but I am very optimistic that my side will survive the season.
