Baba Rahman’s welcome tour on the Chelsea bench

Not a bad way to see how your new team can entertain in a football game. Three goals scored with two shipped, new recruit makes an impact with the opening goal and club captain sent off as your team hold on for the first three points of the Premier League.

Ghanaian full back Abdul Baba Rahman travelled with the Chelsea squad for their Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

The Black Star could however not make the match-day squad and had to watch on as his side struggled for their first three points of the season after a draw at home to Swansea City and defeat away at Manchester City in their first two games.

New recruit from Barcelona Pedro got the nod for the starting XI from manager Jose Mourinho and made an instant impact in the league with the first goal for the London club.

Pedro went on to set up the second for international team-mate Diego Costa with another Spaniard Cesar Azpilicueta restoring the two-goal advantage after James Morrison had pulled one back for home side West Brom.

Morrison scored his second after Chelsea captain John Terry was sent off but the Premier League champions held on to secure a 3-2 victory, their first win of the English Premier League season.
