J.E Sarpong, head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs says Baba Rahman’s move to Chelsea was rushed by Augsburg, adding he should have matured enough at the Bundesliga outfit before that decision.

Chelsea signed Baba Rahman for an amount of 21 million euros, but is yet to play for the English champions in the EPL.

And according to J.E Sarpong, now that Chelsea is struggling to find their feet, Jose Mourinho will not experiment with an inexperienced player, unless Baba Rahman plays above himself.

“With all intent and purposes, the Baba Rahman’s move was a brilliant one, because Chelsea is bigger than Augsburg in terms of the materials at Chelsea, who are world known stars that he would end up gaining experience from them,” he told Kasapa FM.

“On the other hand I think it was a move that was done in haste. They were in a hurry to let the boy leave Augsburg; they should have allowed him mature enough.

“As it stands now Chelsea are struggling, so no coach would experiment at this stage the team’s position on the league log is not appreciable. It is not that he (Mourinho) doesn’t know the abilities of Baba, but at this time he (Baba) would have to play above himself in order to catch the eyes of Mourinho,” he told Kasapa FM.

Baba Rahman, a product of Dreams FC, before a loan spell with Asante Kotoko landed him a contract in Germany with Greuther Fürth and after 2 seasons Augsburg secured his signature and with just a season Chelsea brought him to Stanford Bridge.
