Ghana defender Andy Yiadom wants to improve on his recent fine form for his club side Barnsley in the English Championship.

Yiadom who joined Barnsley this season from League one side Barnet has been impressive for the side in the ongoing championship.

The 24-year-old has been rewarded with a maiden call-up to the Ghana senior national team for next Sunday’s World Cup qualifier against Egypt.

Yiadom who is born to Ghanaian parents takes pleasure in featuring in England’s second tie League.

“It’s great playing week in week out in the Championship, I just want to keep putting in good performances and getting results,” he told barnsleyfc.co.uk.

“It’s a big step-up, but we’re in here now, so we have to get on with it and keep putting in good performances, hopefully getting some points on the road.”
