Accam named Chicago Fire best player for 2015

Ghana’s David Accam was voted the most valuable player at Chicago Fire at the end of the year.

The Ghanaian international saw-off competition from compatriot Kennedy Igboananike, Harrison Shipp, Matt Polster and Joevin Jones who were all in line for the award.

The 24-year-old who joined Fire from Swedish Club Helsingborg IF was able to score 10 goals in 23 matches in his first season at Chicago Fire.

His remarkable display for Fire saw him grab the award during the annual awards ceremony at the Club.

The Black Stars attacker has already been linked to English Premier League Club Stoke City having been reported to have trained with the side.
