For instance in the UK and the USA, regulations include screening of donors against diseases and genetic malfuctions. Recently the UK has decided to make the identity of sperm donors available to children who may come out of this 'sinful' activity so than can trace their real fathers later, and guess what, the sperm banks started drying up because the donors don't want to have any 18 yr old knocking on their doors later and saying 'hi dad'.
I am convinced this whole business is morally and spiritually bad, but I understand the doctor's call that there must be regulations
