The Supreme Court has struck out an application filed by embattled businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome seeking to halt his oral examination.

The apex court, by a unanimous decision on Wednesday, 31 January, dismissed the application.

Mr Woyome is answering questions relating to the GHS51.2 million questionable judgment debt paid to him by the Mills/Mahama administration.

The court further instructed the businessman to subject himself to oral examination by the Deputy Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame.

Class 91.3FM’s Ibrahim Obeng Mensah, who was in court, reported that the application was dismissed on two grounds.

According to the court, allowing Mr Woyome to be orally examined does not breach his human rights as espoused by the embattled businessman.

Giving the ruling, chair of the bench Justice William Atuguba, said the application of the embattled businessman cannot sway the attention of the court.
