What black Africa needs is a genuine spiritual re-awakening in which we will rediscover our spiritual past. Remember that the human species emerged from one source:Africa. That same source has been the source of human spirituality which evolved simultaneously as humans. How come we in sub-saharan Africa look to faraway places for spiritual salvation?

Meh, we cannot blame the woes of the country to religion. If anything is the case, then it is the huge progress education has seen as a result of religion in Ghana. The culture that we met is predominantly restrictive to creativity and imagination. We may all be familiar with the 'we do not do this' and 'we do not do thats' of our respective tribes. We got too comfortable thinking about how satisfied we were with the food we had eaten today whiles the rest rest of the world was thinking about how to grow more food for the coming generations, that is what we could blame for our woes as a race.

My brother you have hit the nail right on the head. I wonder why these kind of history is not taught in our schools. Do we have professors at all? It is their duty to help change the status-quo. We have to reject this up side down history as told by these white supremacists. Life started in Africa so as with civilization. The black man actually built the pyramids. The black man has ruled the world before. How come we find ourselves in this mess? We need to untangle ourselves from colonial inferiority complex and move on. When I go to church and we read and talk about the fact that nothing good could be found in Egypt and that we must seek to go to the promised land then I see the psycological damage we have done and continue to do to ourselves is so huge. We fail to recognize that we are indeed referring to ourselves as Africans. We are lost as a people. Somebody somewhere has to start with re-wiring of the African mindset through proper education of the masses.

Spare me that biblical-jewish zombie.

It definitely did a fat lot of good for Dr Frimpong Boateng. I am surprised you conveniently left the Koran or Islam out of it. Mansa Musa, arguably the richest man who ever lived did fuck all to improve the lives of his people yet,as a moslem convert,he went to Mecca and Egypt to blow all his fortune in the name of an Arab Allah.

People of those days, whether black, pink, yellow, brown, or green, had one thing in common: the curiosity and the profound thirst for knowledge. Such attributes led them to discover powerful tools and concepts for achieving great feats.
Before Pythagoras developed his formula, he did not ask:
(a) How would this make me a very wealthy person?
(b) How would this bring me a lot of respect and admiration in my country?
(c) How can I obtain more pleasure in life with this?
If a Ghanaian in the diaspora won a fortune at the lotteries, what would be the first thing on the mind?
-building an imposing mansion at East Legon ?
-getting the fanciest Rolls Royce SUV or Lamborghini to impress?
-seeking expensive pleasure in all shapes and forms?
Today's black man lives in a different age of thinking, and unless we stop existing solely on the basis of PERSONAL WEALTH ACQUISITION, no amount of reading about our past would make a difference.
We have to be HUNGRY and THIRSTY for KNOWLEDGE at all times, being CURIOUS about nature, and striving to CREATE NEW THINGS, not for self-glorification, but simply as a mission of the race.

Why is it Seshie, when African Ancestors reincarnate as African Americans in the Americas those born in Africa in their present life see the ones born outside of Africa as "akata"(like those in Africa didn't have family members in the past affected by the past slave trade...no,no not me mindset)? Does such touch on a much deeper lack of knowledge of SELF by those born inside of today's Black Africa?
Why are Blacks so closed-minded, inward in thought still? Such is on both sides of the ocean. Example: Take the Blacks born in the US with plantationized names with no real long family history. Such mindsets as just as 'closed' as those born inside of Africa with their colonized names (Stanley for example).
The two groups of Blacks separated by only an ocean or two can't think in any real unity. Look at most US-born Black millionaires (one or two generations of wealth), via pro sports, entertainment, higher college degrees, Lotto winnings, etc. almost none with the exception of the lacks of Issac Hayes, Stevie Wonder, Berry White, Rita Marley, Geronimo Pratt and a few others could see how Mother Africa plays a role in their very existence. So take a pro basketball player in the US, Black and now a multi-millionaire yet so limited in real intelligence he can not think beyond the shores of the US. Marrying in the US then divorcing then marrying again and divorcing again till all or most of his wealth is gone by his retirement. A victim of a system already made against his natural nature before he was born. He has mentally bought into something that can't work for they type of inner cultural being he really is. So we have a person that has mentally bought into limiting himself with about 45 million Blacks in the US instead of combining such (Black global mindset) with about 1.5 billion Blacks worldwide. Over 900 million of which are Africa-based.
So with such a localized mindset, the temporary multi-millionaire Black man has lost all of his wealth playing the local social game of life. When, with a global Black mindset,he could have developed a long-standing amount of wealth by "thinking outside the box". example: He could have came to Africa and married as his Ancestors did, in a polygamous fashion. So wealth is spread in various countries and nurtured through the wives self-employed drive...generation after generation. Uplifting Africa in this 21st Century. Such is an example of combining the old with the new.
By the way, how many wives really does the richest Black man on Earth have...really? Everyone is a funnel through him to benefit her family, clan, ethnic group and nation. It is as simple as that. While those STUCK on invaders organized religions are geared towards one man-one woman in places like Ghana. A view that is not even logical...as women begin to out-number men greatly as both age in a lifetime. Even a lesbian lifestyle can not make a real impact in such an imbalance. Nature wants polygamy, as there is no such thing really as 'balance'. either men are going to out-number women greatly or visa-versa.
