No NDC executive was attacked by a bee in Kpandai - Party clarifies

NDC executives have dismissed claims of a bee attack during a campaign meeting

Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kpandai Constituency have dismissed reports that an executive of the party was attacked during a campaign meeting.

According to a report by citinewsroom.com, the Constituency Communication Officer, Gregory Anijadong, made this known during a press briefing on Monday, December 15, 2025.

He clarified that while a bee attack did occur on the same day, it was unrelated to the NDC meeting.

"An individual, who was not an NDC executive lost his life in a motor accident reportedly involving bees while returning home after the meeting.

"The deceased, the party explained, had earlier attended a separate meeting convened by the overlord of Kpandai, Nana Atorsah Bristiam Okori II, where he was representing his community chief", the report noted.

The party further urged the Ghana Police Service to carry out a thorough investigation into the incident and make the findings public.

This development comes ahead of the parliamentary election rerun in Kpandai, scheduled for Tuesday, December 30, 2025, following a High Court ruling that annulled the results of the 2024 parliamentary election.

The contest is expected to feature New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate Matthew Nyinadam and National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate Daniel Nsala Wakpal.
