If Asamoah Gyan resigns, it will be Dede's turn to lead the black Star, Dede has the track record to do. He captained Ghana U-20 to win Africa Youth Championship and World Cup. He won league with Marseille. He has won player of the month in EPL, he has won BBC African player of the year before. If you don't love him, don't despise him, he will prove you wrong.

Gyan remains one of the best strikers on the continent, he is bold, charismatic, inspirational, etc. we have Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto, Yaya touri, etc but for 3 successive world cups it is Gyan that has rescued Africa from shame, all the other big strikers shrink on the big stage, but Gyan shines. We have to respect him, so long as he remains our best striker(not Jordan, not Warris, etc) he must continue to wear the arm band.

Gyan is no longer inspirational. His time is over even though we do not have a "perfect" substitute for him. We need a good leader. Gyan lacks leadership skills but at the same time Dede appears a bit immature in terms of handling off court issues.
