The NDC borrowed monies to develop the country which is very commendable, we all can attest to the increase in infrastructure that has sprung up since President Mahama assumed office. The new 465,560 square foot ridge hospital now under construction will deliver modern healthcare facilities to women and children and will become the largest hospital in the country. It will also accommodate 600 beds and more than 12 surgical theatres including administration for dental, accident, emergency, imaging, obstetrics and other administrations

Mr Isahaku, please be informed that, the NPP before they left office had already distributed the affordable houses to their cronies and family members on paper. The had also paid the contractors huge mobilisations and shared the monies. Therefore the contractors had no monies to complete the projects. Who then is the stupid government to take over contracts that have been shared to cronies and contractors paid huge sums and monies shared between the contractors and the NPP government. Does it make sense for the NDC to find another money to complete housing units meant for the poor that had already been distributed? We should ask the NPP to bring the money to complete the housing units.

We should all remember that our governments run on the cash basis, therefore every year governments prepare their budget and spend. In any case all governments have had to do deficit financing - that is spending more than they budgeted for . So I find it very absurd for a whole member of parliament and his fellow shallow NDC supporters to tell us this NONSENSE. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH . LETS GET THESE BUNCH OUT. former President John Kufuor to urgently clear the air on a questionable US$2.64 million payment he authorised in his last day in office. When the land was acquired in 1976, the assessed value of compensation for the portion owed by BAIL measuring about 1, 800 acres which the Company accepted was c200, 040.00 (now GHc20.00). This amount was, however, not paid. About thirty years down the line, the State was made to cough out US$2, 640,000 for the same piece of land, when nothing had been paid to the indigenous land owners who owned the remaining 23,000 acres.

As far as the NPP is concerned, judgment debt is one of the issues they want to ride on to power. They are deliberately keeping the issue of judgment debt alive. What is worrying about the NPP propaganda is that it does not respect facts and indeed it does not respect the people of Ghana…There are many people in the NPP who have gone out and made the claim that the NPP government will not pay judgment debt and that it will be used to offset the cost of education so that education can be free. But the NDC used the money for more developmental projects such as schools, hospitals, roads and provide facilities for the fisherfolks and farmers to assist them in their work

the Judiciary under Kufuor whose latter head was state lands theft beneficiary, Mrs. Georgina Theodora Wood was so corrupt that a Supreme Court Judge had to complain bitterly to the US Embassy officials. The Supreme Court Chief Justice Kingsley Acquah admitted to Ambassador Yates in her farewell call that judicial corruption is “ A BIG TERRIBLE PROBLEM” He noted that the Police recently discovered a judicial clerk embezzling funds using duplicate stamps. In July, the Judicial Council charged two High Court judges with stealing GH¢115MILLION ($13,000) deposited as fines.
