Mr. Rawlings is seeking to instruct Ghanians to look inward in all circumstances before committing to praises or condeming one another. If Mr. Mills was at all informed of JJR shortcoming, he owned it to Ghanians at the instance to joined the opposition of the time and not bury his head in the sand; which off course was a great disservice to Ghanians. The exhibition of principles in life; that was and still is a mark of leadership in developed countries. Oftentimes, you have to endure and carry your cross with an assurance that it is for the good of all.

What did Rawlings know about prof's health, or what was he plotting against and wishing for prof Mills at that time? In the first place if not Rawlings who would have known Mills apart from his students let alone becoming a vice president and later a president,was Mills the most learned man that followed Rawlings,is there any country in the world where the president has to be more learned than his subordinates,why then do we have advisers,and what do you mean by a learned person,is it only professors that are learned,don't you know that even a pilot of a small aircraft is also a learned person,do you know how to park an airplane let alone knowing how to operate it and what makes you better than the person who did not go to learn an empty book and the person who went to learn how to operate a car?
No matter what some of you ignorantly said about Rawlings,it is a well known fact that he has ruled you,if you guys are that learned you would have removed him from office and the fact that he ruled you for almost two decades shows how dumb you are,it is not only the professor who followed him, all of us did,if a fool can rule you then you are more than that fool,you did what he asked you to do and you followed his instructions but said he is not learned,what a dumb statement.

I don't think for a second that Attah Mills lined up people to insult the former president but the people who did that were doing that to appease others in the top positions or people who were directing the affairs of the country, as a president like the former president we will always attribute any negative as well as any positive to him but he was not directly involved in such acts,the man was sick and was not even incharge of his government before he died.
The former president should stop blaming him now that he is no more,he has taken the lead to where we will all find ourselves one day and if people meet we shall one day meet there.

Sometimes things are better not said. As human beings, we are all like Rawlings in his feelings towards others. There are some people dead or alive that we all don't care a hoot about but the difference is that we all don't show our glee about the death of people we don't like as Rawlings is doing because as human beings, we are expected to show an iota of modicum of respect for the dead and we don't talk bad about dead people like Mills.
Corney, maybe there is something you know that some of us don't know. Tell me, what does Rawlings hope to achieve by being this callous? In this case, it is not only Mills he is disrespecting but the whole of Mills family and those who love him. It wouldn't hurt for Rawlings to be diplomatic and show empathy.

Lack of awareness of Rawlings of the reality of Atta Mills education and life experience caused him to believe that he could manipulate Mills' government or in other words could control Mills presidency with directives of do this and that.
The anger that Rawlings childishly is displayng publicly today happened when he and the wife Konadu realised Atta did not give in to their views. Further, Rawlings understood he could no longer control Atta Mills presidency because he had encircled /surrounded himself with those he Rawlings didn't like.
In reality when Rawlings saw that things were no more like it used to be in those past days when he Rawlings was at the top, that his orders were taken without any objections he became very upset with some of the Atta Mills NDC governmet appointees, and especially his demonic anger turned against Atta Mills in this regard.
And therefore since that time till today Rawlings and the wife had never treated Atta Mills with what a layman could call LOVE anymore. In short one cold not imagine anything better than what both Rawlings and the wife do today.

Were we not in this country and did we not see how people got their positions in Prez John Mills administration; all you need to do is to be vitriolic and insulting towards Ex-President Jerry Rawlings. Thus appointments were largely not based on competence but on the ability to be abusive and manufacturing of untruth against their party founder. We are today witnesses of the fall out of those appointments - square pegs in round holes. look at all the poor and disgraceful way most of the appointments carried over from the Mills administration to the Mahama administration have and continue to conduct themselves. Do you remember how mills administration was regarded as the weakest in our post independence governance walk? Do you remember the judgement debt issues - christened, create loot and share? Do you remember the hijab and the christian-Muslim school issues
? Do you remember the recent independence brochure gaffe, which assumed international ridicule
? etc. These are just to mention a few. If Jerry Rawlings says he doesn't miss Mills why should people be surprised? I guess the people were expecting him to lie, and vintage as he is, will have none of that. In any case why should he deceive the host when God knows what his thoughts are. Prez Mills vindictiveness his why we have somebody elevated to the position of a high commissioner to Great Britain who has no modicum of diplomacy but just because he has worked for the Rawlings' before, and was used to attacked JJ and the family, he had to be rewarded. First, he was awarded Eastern regional minister, later ambassador to Chezch republic, and now Great Britain. I am referring to Victor Smith. In the wake of the non-presidential treatment meted out to our president and his team over the week in Scotland, this man is quoted has saying, he does not no Ghana's position LGTB and appeared to be advising the president in public as to how he should be tactful with comments on the subject matter especially when addressing the international community. He was admonishing the president in public not to go the Donald Trump way since that will court disaffection towards us. This type of diplomatic immaturity can only be found in Ghana in Mills/Mahama administration. Where on earth would you find the appointee advising the appointing authority in public. Not to forget the unfortunate "non consultation" disclosure by the foreign and interior minister on the gitmo two saga after the president had given indication of having consulted widely before the decision was taken. These are the seeds of President Mills and Mahama. We love Prez Mills, but truth is only one.
