You are right,he should not have allowed some of these parties to get even a provisional certificates but to be fair to him, most of these mushroom parties were not there when he was incharge,Afari Gyan registered most them without checking if they meet the requirements, they registered without even going to the region to get people to sign as founding members, they have nonexisting names or members as founding members and have no offices in the country, the only parties that have offices throughout the country are NDC and NPP,the rest are just waste of time and resources for us.
I think parliament should vote to make Ghana a two party state the same as America, the rest should just be called others, officially we should have only NDC and NPP in the country.

Hoe do you define inactive? NDC's gargantuan corruption is activity, right? How do they organize if they are dissolved. Boxers, oftentimes, retreat to the rope to prepare for fighting back. Go wey you.

The very first thing to do with enforcing the laws governing political activities in Ghana is to investigate the NPP and NDC for conspiracy by a committee whose members are from the so-called inactive political parties. It is not a secret that the NPP and NDC conspired to steal all CPP assets under the guise of government forfeiture laws which conveniently retroactively applied to the CPP.
Where does J.J. Rawlings have standing going after events in Ghana that happened before he learned how to put on government provided uniforms as an enlisted member of Ghana's Air force? And what did the mighty Kufour who so desperately wanted to right past wrongs do during his 8 years in office? If Kufour was not a tribal demagogue he would not have pushed to the fore ghosts of NPP founding members as some kind of heroes even as he ignored evils of the Rawlings era evidenced by their thieving and unlawful activities.
Mr. Damoah, like most ignorant Ghanaians, seems to understand freedoms in its narrow scope when it suits their agenda. Freedom of association and or political activities was not abridged even under Nkrumah the hated one; it did sustain the viability of the NPP party even if it’s a mostly tribal party. Should the NPP be allowed to operate as a tribal party? Should the NDC be a party in Ghana with its many dumb fools and thieving bunch? Would Ghana allow a bunch of thieves and vandals to form a party with a platform advocating asset forfeiture of the rich in society who have systematically bled Ghana dry?
Akua Donkor, Odike etc must be scrapped.
